The Corvette 2015 offers Valet Mode to capture everything in conjunction with Performance Data Recorder (PDR) when it goes out of your possession

It has always been so difficult to handover your luxurious car to a valet, but thanks to the all new Valet Mode introduced by Chevrolet, handing over the keys and control to your Corvette will be very easy and stress free experience. It is a new feature that will capture and process the performance stats from Performance Data Recorder (PDR). This mode records data and clocks it to capture the control of some important features in your car to handle it. It works and captures everything when your Chevy has been taken away from your possession.

Once Valet Mode is activated with a four-digit code, the interior storage will be locked, the infotainment system will be disabled and a recording of audio, video and vehicle data will start. While this mode is activated, anyone could take charge, might have some fun with it but they definitely will leave all the evidences of what they have done with your darling while valet. You can easily check all the adventures and activities once they hand over the keys to you.

Harlan Charles is Corvette product manager and he said, “Think of it as a baby monitor for your car. Anyone who has felt apprehension about handing over their keys will appreciate the peace of mind of knowing exactly what happened when their baby was out of sight.”

The Performance Data Recorders are actually designed for those drivers who want to get the most out of driving their supercars on the track. It records 720p HD video from a windshield mounted camera and records HD audio from a built-in microphone in the Corvette Interior and telemetry using GPS and stores everything in the SD card that is inserted in glove box. All the results can be watched on the console screen.
