The New York Auto Show has opened with ground-breaking models of models. Almost all major car manufacturers are participating with their new models and concepts. We saw the launch of Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5 hybrids and Mitsubishi Outlander and many more. Some luxurious models from McLaren, Lexus, KIA, and Jaguar also made a debut.
According to BMW officials, the X5 represents BMW Hybrid line-up of giving 85.6 mpg and being good for the environment with 77g/km of CO2. The X5 features xDrive40e on a 2.0 litre BMW X5 petrol engine. It will soon be available on UK shores.
A direct rival to the likes of BMW 5-Series going on sale this autumn. Jaguar XF uses the same lightweight aluminium structure used in the smaller Jaguar XE. It will use the most efficient Ingenium engines.
KIA hasn’t revealed any details of its Optima, but it is confirmed that the new car has adopted styling from the Concept Sport space. It is designed to rival the Mondeo and Passat in Europe.
The new RX is inspired from Lexus NX model. It is expected to go on sale in UK by the end of this year.
The new McLaren is an amazing car. The entry level McLaren 570s Coupe which is designed to take on the 911 turbo. The expected starting price of is £140,000 in the UK.
Mercedes-Benz strikes with honour, the GLE a high-end SUV is about to make its debut at the New York Motor Show and serves as a warning signal for Porsche Cayenne and Range Rover Sport. It will hit UK showrooms in July.
