Skoda has unveiled a new, limited-run ‘black Edition’ in the whole model line-up, offering customers additional standard kit and a range of interior and exterior styling updates with a dark theme. The Citigo Black Edition starts from £10,900 with top of the range Yeti costing £23,990. All of these trims are available in Black Magic Pearlescent paint.
The three or five door Citigo utilises 1.0 litre petrol engine delivering 59bhp which is the same as the standard car, but gains 15-inch ‘Auriga’ black alloys, front fog lights and sunset glass, a portable Infotainment Device and Entertainment package.
The Fabia Black Edition starts from £15,490 with 1.2 litre TSI engine churning out 104bhp. It can be finished in Candy White and gets heated front seats, Bluetooth, sat nav and DAB digital radio. The Rapid starts from £16,880 and Rapid Spaceback from £18,250 variants and share the 1.2 TSI, too, in addition to their own bespoke 17-inch black alloys, sports seats, sat nav and digital radio. The hatchback gets fog lights whereas the Spaceback gets sunset glass and added choice of Moon White Metallic exterior paint.
The Superb starts from £23,630, 17-inch ‘Twister’ black rims, heated front seats, full leather upholstery, satellite navigation and DAB are the chosen updates for both body styles benefiting from identical extra kit and white or black paint schemes.
The final version in the Black Edition range is a 2.0 litre TDI 4×4 Yeti which churns out 138bhp and starts from £29,900. It is on sale in Black Magic Pearlescent and Moon White Metallic paint with a choice of six-speed manual gear box or DSG automatic gearbox. It comes with 17-inch ‘Matterhorn’ alloys, front and rear spoilers, and of course sat nav and DAB radio.
