It’s been almost 12 months since we first saw the new Ford Mustang at the 2014 Detroit Motor Show. The car was unquestionably a work of art, but it didn’t stop right there as Shelby American, a performance vehicle manufacturer, has been working on something new which would awe the world. It has now unveiled that mean machine, one of the wild Mustangs ever built.
With 650 bhp, the Mustang GT500 is already potent enough, it didn’t need a power increase, but thanks to Shelby American’s fine tune this beast has become even aggressive boosting hp to an impressive 840 horses.
The best thing about this package is its flexibility as it can be fitted to all existing GT500s. In the first stage, only 50 examples have been made under the Signature Edition ‘Super Snake’ and you can have this upgrade package at a special price with all the popular Shelby options.
At the current exchange rate, this upgrade will cost you £28,971 without the price of the car. Now the question is what will you be getting after spending this much money? Well, this upgrade includes engine tune-up, suspension, cooling system, brakes and unique visual tweaks from the inside out.
Shelby Performance cooling package includes new radiator, heat exchanger and aluminium cooling tanks, upgraded rear brakes and Kenne Bell supercharger.
The interior will get a special signature airbag cover, Signature Edition floor mats. The exterior will have stripes in any Shelby colour of your choice and the badges will have Super Snake on them.
If your Shelby GT500 has been built between 2007 and 2014 then you can get this package installed in a convertible guise or the coupe. But you need to be quick as the orders book will close by the end of January 2015.
