A Subaru Impreza hatchback concept made its public debut at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show and we made an in depth into the Impreza 5-door concept at the show.
The next big show of the all new concept is planned for the Los Angeles Motor Show next week, but we will see an all new saloon concept as well.
Subaru has introduced its 5-door version of the Impreza at Tokyo Motor Show, but the new teaser image of saloon does not show any big differences in the 5-door and upcoming version.
However, one thing has been made very clear by the automaker that new saloon will carry over the headlight design from the 5-door version.
The Impreza will be introduced at LA Motor Show in concept form, once it makes its debut at the show, we will know more details. Even the FHI President & CEO, Yasuyuki Yoshinaga will give a speech on the day.
Earlier this year, Subaru declared its Prominence 2020 plan for development of new models and platforms. Subaru’s plan will underpin all models and the plans to improve fuel economy and other economy factors.
New models will have flat four boxer engines under the hood. The current 2016 model will have 148 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque and the all new all-wheel drive system of Subaru to transfer the power to all four wheels.
The gearbox will likely be a 5-speed manual, but the current Subaru Impreza has lineartronic continuously variable transmission, so it may be fitted in the new model as well.
